Garden Takes Series From Hutch

    The Garden City Community College baseball team took a big series from Hutchinson Community College over the weekend at home. The Busters swept both games on day one behind stellar pitching from starters Alex Ellison (Littleton, CO) and Todd Brazell (Peyton, CO). Garden City took game one 3-2 in extra innings with Blake Brisson (Omaha, Ne) providing the game winning hit in the bottom of the ninth inning. Game two saw Garden take a 4-3 decision behind a three hits from Desmond Roberts (Bellevue, NE).

    On day two both pitching staffs provided solid efforts again. Garden dropped a 6-4 decision in game one before bouncing back in game two to win 6-5 in twelve innings.

    The Baseball team will be back in action this weekend as they travel to Pratt, KS to take on the Beavers in a KJCCC West matchup.
