Busters Take Down Lamar

    The Garden City Broncbusters took down the Lamar Community College Runnin' Lopes today at Williams Stadium in a non-conference game. The Busters held a 4-2 lead after three innings before Lamar bats came alive with five runs in the top of the fourth inning. The Runnin' Lopes pushed one run across in the top of the fifth to carry an 8-4 lead through 6 1/2 innings. Garden City scored six runs with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to take a 10-8 lead. Sophomore reliever Tyler Rogers (Littleton, CO) picked up the win in relief throwing 4 1/3 innings out of the pen. Luke Flanagan (Centennial, CO) paced the Busters with three hits and two RBI's while Zac Baldini (Denver, CO) chipped in two hits and some great defense in the Garden City victory.

    The Busters will open up conference play this weekend at Williams Stadium against Barton County Community College. Double headers are scheduled for both days starting at 1:00pm.
